Terms of Service

Effective Date: April 2, 2026  ·  Last Updated: April 2, 2026

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and webLuthier, LLC ("we," "our," or "us"), governing your use of the Ora mobile application (the "App") and the website at oraapp.link (the "Site"), collectively the "Services."

By downloading, installing, or using the App, or by accessing the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify you of material changes through the App or by email.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the Services. By using the Services, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

If you use the Services on behalf of a church, ministry, or other organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

3. Account Registration

Ora does not require an account. You can build a prayer list and run Prayer Time entirely on your device without signing in. Some features, including cloud backup and sync, require you to create an account using Sign in with Apple. When you create an account:

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being used fraudulently.

4. License to Use the App

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial purposes.

You may not:

5. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

Ora offers a free tier and optional paid features under the "Ora Plus" subscription ("Premium Features"), sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Ora Plus is offered on a monthly and a yearly plan. By purchasing Premium Features:

All purchases are final unless otherwise required by law or the applicable platform's refund policy. If you believe you have been charged in error, contact us at [email protected].

6. User Content

You may create and store content within the App, including prayer items, categories, details, notes, and your Prayer Time history ("User Content"). You retain all ownership rights to your User Content.

By storing User Content in the App, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, and transmit your User Content solely as necessary to operate the Services. For example, to sync your prayer list across your devices, or to generate guided prompts if you have enabled that feature.

You are solely responsible for your User Content. You represent and warrant that:

We do not access, review, or use your User Content for any purpose other than providing the Services, except as required by law. Prayer-item text you sync is encrypted on your device before storage, as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not use your User Content to train machine-learning models.

7. Guided Prompts and Narration

Ora Plus can generate guided prayer prompts from your prayer items, and can read those prompts aloud using your device's built-in speech synthesis. Prompts are produced automatically by a language model. They are suggestions to help you begin, not statements from us.

8. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Services to:

9. Intellectual Property

The Services and all content and materials included in or made available through them, including but not limited to the Ora name, logo, wordmark, interface design, prompt templates, software, text, and graphics, are owned by webLuthier, LLC or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or interest in or to our intellectual property other than the limited license to use the App described in Section 4.

10. Privacy

Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Services, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Device Permissions

Some Ora features ask for permissions on your device. You control each of them, and you can withdraw any of them at any time in your device settings.

Denying a permission disables the feature that depends on it but does not otherwise limit your use of the App.

12. Third-Party Services

The Services integrate with third-party platforms, including the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, Supabase (database and authentication), RevenueCat (subscription management), and OpenAI (guided prompt generation). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or content of any third-party services.

The App is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple is not a party to these Terms and has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the App. To the extent permitted by law, Apple has no warranty obligation with respect to the App. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

13. Apple End User License Agreement (EULA)

Ora is distributed through the Apple App Store and is subject to Apple's standard End User License Agreement (EULA). By downloading or using the App from the App Store, you also agree to Apple's standard EULA, available at:

https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/

In the event of any conflict between these Terms and Apple's standard EULA with respect to App Store usage, Apple's standard EULA shall govern. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and Apple's standard EULA, and may enforce them against you.

14. Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

Ora is a tool to support a personal prayer practice. It is not a substitute for pastoral care, spiritual direction, counseling, or professional medical or mental-health treatment. If you are in crisis, contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services.

15. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WEBLUTHIER, LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH:

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICES EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) $50 USD.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

16. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless webLuthier, LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms or your use of the Services.

17. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice, including for violations of these Terms. Upon termination, your license to use the App ends immediately.

You may stop using the Services at any time. If you wish to delete your account and associated data, contact us at [email protected]. See our Privacy Policy for information on data retention after account deletion.

Sections 9, 14, 15, 16, and 18 of these Terms survive any termination or expiration.

18. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall first be attempted to be resolved informally by contacting us at [email protected]. If not resolved within 30 days, the dispute shall be submitted to binding arbitration under the American Arbitration Association's Consumer Arbitration Rules, conducted on an individual basis. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent irreparable harm.
